Fretsky Guitars started with a guitar neck that was given to me by a friend. It sat on a shelf in my basement for years before I came across the most beautiful piece of Bolivian Rosewood I had ever seen.

This combination of free neck and perfect board sparked a creative tsunami within me and I have been making and teaching hand built, custom electric guitars ever since.

Have you ever wanted to make your own electric guitar? In this class we will go from raw materials to a fully built electric guitar over two days and two additional evenings. This is not a kit assembly class. We will use patterns to make the neck, fingerboard, and body. All materials, including electronics, frets, tuners, truss rod, and pick guard are included.

Students will be expected to apply their own finishes at home, but finishing options and techniques will be during the last class.
